FLT Weight Loss
Is a registered medically supervised 12 week program, for people who are looking to improve their lifestyle and quality of life and reduce risk for developing chronic disease due to altered body composition, cardio- metabolic syndrome, or are already experiencing inflammatory responses from being overweight. In this program, body composition testing and Nutritional assessment are included.
Body Composition Testing
The gold standard in naturopathic medicine to determine the clinical assessment of fluid status and body composition of muscle mass, fat mass and cell health. This test is for people who are planning to start a weight loss program and track over a period of time whether weight loss is coming off fat mass or muscle mass, and whether target goals are within normal healthy ranges and if they are being met. A weight scale is not enough to determine weight -loss, as muscle weighs more than fat.
Food is Pharmacy. How much to eat on work out days and non- work out days is one component of healthy body composition. Foods are balanced out, based on the chemical components of proteins fats and carbohydrates required for individuals which takes into account ones age and sex and activity levels, and the need for weight loss, or to improve energy levels. There is no need for calorie counting; it’s about the overall balance of amino acids, proteins, oils and nutrients in ratio. The balance of food is designed to enhance overall health and wellness.
This type of test helps to determine the bio-energetic health and function of organ systems. Using electrodermal screening, a painless, non invasive analyzer uses computer testing of acupuncture points on the hands and feet to see if systems and organs are balanced, stressed or dysfunctional. This approach originated in Germany, by Dr .Voll in the early 1950’s, and it is safe and accurate and a valuable tool to determine dosage and length of time to create balance in overall health.
Urine Growth Hormone
Although aging is part of life, healthy aging generally requires good self-care. Simple activities like getting enough sleep, exercising, balancing hormones, and eating a healthy diet are all part of good health, and all contribute to healthy growth hormone levels. Having adequate growth hormone levels helps you burn fat, maintain good thyroid function, and build muscle and bone. Having enough growth hormone may also help improve depression and poor memory.
Male Endocrine Hormone (lab) Testing
This is an important test for men who are experiencing erectile dysfunction or enlarged prostate issues. The hormones tested: Cortisol, DHEA’s, estradiol and testosterone. The interaction between these hormones is fundamental to health. Some additional conditions associated with an imbalance of these hormones include: apathy, depression, bone loss, memory loss, and weight gain. Clinical applications based on the results will determine which hormones need to be restored and balanced using nutraceuticals.
Female Endocrine Hormone (lab) Testing
This is a hormone test for Women entering peri-menopause, menopause, or women experiencing hormone imbalance. Hormones tested: Estradiol, Progesterone, testosterone and cortisol. The interaction between these hormones can help uncover the imbalance and provide focused nutrients through natural medicine: homeopathy, nutrition and nutraceuticals.
Essential Elements (lab) Test
This test measures for deficiencies or excess of nutritional elements, as well as potential toxins in the body in particular heavy metals that impair absorption or assimilation of nutrients. Certain elements are critical to health, for example potassium and sodium are crucial for heart function and calcium and magnesium are essential for bones. The right balance of these elements is essential for good health. From this test we can determine whether nutrients are in balance.
Hypo -Thyroid Endocrine (lab) Test
Conventional blood tests can indicate normal serum levels even when Hypo Thyroid symptoms persist. This urine test offers an alternative means of measuring thyroid function. If heavy metal toxicity or high levels of cortisol are present, TSH levels in serum might be normal, even if thyroid function is poor.
